Summary

Opened in 2017 The Ruby Lissi Hotel has thrown some of the more conventional hotel concepts out of the window - no concierge, no room service, no reception, no laundry service, no minibar, no on-site parking, no restaurant and no fitness centre. To Ruby Hotels personal and friendly service is more important. But that does not mean you will go without anything you need. We offer great facilities. Our guestrooms are high on comfort and low on clutter. A glamourous space of beautiful materials, smart design and technology. We offer a great nights sleep, caring service, uncomplicated comfort, laid back style and a bit of fun. The Ruby Lissi building is a former monastery from the 13th century. From 1301 the Sisters of the Order of the Dominicans settled here. In the 15th century it was transformed into a Choir House for one of the richest orders in Vienna. In 1638 the building was completely rebuilt due to serious structural damage. The main structure and facade date back to the 18th century and are a protected building. The interior has been designed with great attention to detail on a theme of travel in the mid to late 19th century. The hotel takes its name from Kaiserin Elisabeth. Lissi is the Austrian short form of Elisabeth.
